Corrections Policy

1. What counts as a correction

A correction fixes a factual error in a published article: a wrong figure, date, name, attribution, or description of events. It does not cover:

• Disagreements with our analysis or conclusions.
• Facts that were accurate when published and have since changed.
• Typos and formatting fixes that do not change meaning.

2. How to report one

Send the article link, the passage you believe is wrong, and the reason to info@calibrecodeusa.com, or use the contact form. Include a source where you can. We acknowledge every report and tell you what we decided.

3. How we handle it

• The author re-checks the claim against the original sources and any new material provided.
• If the claim is wrong, the article text is corrected.
• A correction note is added to the end of the article stating what was wrong, what it now says, and the date of the change.
• The article's last-updated date is changed so the revision is visible to readers and search engines.

4. Updates that are not corrections

When a story develops after publication, we may add new information. Those additions are marked as updates with a date, and the original text is left intact unless it has become misleading.

5. Retractions

If an article's central claim cannot be supported, we retract it. The page stays online with a retraction notice explaining why, so that the record is not erased.

6. Merged and removed articles

When two articles cover the same ground, we may merge them into one. The retired address redirects permanently to the surviving article so links and citations keep working.
